• Implementation: put new plans into action, including identifying and working with community partners.

 Selected projects

• Working closely with the leadership of a county health and human services agency, I managed an extensive community planning process to develop new prevention and early intervention programs to serve under-served communities. This process resulted in programs tailored for Latinx, Vietnamese, youth, young adults, older adults, and veteran communities. During the implementation, I provided technical assistance to contracted providers and evaluated their work.
• In collaboration with a county health and human services agency, we developed an innovative plan to increase access to culturally appropriate services for Latinx, Vietnamese, African American, LGBTQ+ and other under-served transition age youth. I oversaw a cohort of grassroots providers, provided technical assistance, and conducted evaluations. I also was responsible for an Advisory Council made up of transition age youth who engaged in a participatory process to direct and evaluate the project.
• I facilitated multiple teams within a county behavioral health agency to develop innovative projects to provide culturally competent services, emergency services, and youth services. I wrote grant proposals for state funding for each project, resulting in multiple new county programs.
• I have helped county and community agencies develop programs and apply for and win more than $20 million from foundations and local and state governments.
